Lot of activity today. Photographed a few but this one caught my eye. Any ideas what it might be?

Austrian Airlines 767 with winglets Casper. I didn't see any contails today or for the past month!!! I saw a cargolux 747F yesterday when at BHD but alas, no contail.
-
Thanks Dave. I probably saw around a dozen contrails today, one I think was a C-17 - it was in and out of cloud and my photo isn't great.
-
You're always catching the C-17's! Jammy! ;D Aparently tomorrow and Monday should provide some more clear weather.
-
Apparently this July was the dullest in Northern Ireland since 1927 so not too surprising that Contrails have been rare to say the very least.
Noticed this B.747 last week just before the Reds returned to BFS.
Don`t know the operator, but was pleased to catch the anti-collison light lit.

Nice shots guys :D The operator of the B747 is Cargolux ;)

1st one looks like a Cessna Citation 560XL
2nd could be a CL600 or a Raytheon Hawker 800XP
-
Cheers! :goodjob:
-
Took these on Sunday 23/8.
Most seemed to be 10-15 miles South of me,so the Sun was between me and the aircraft. :(

-
Thanks for that :) -can`t say I have ever heard of Evergreen International before.

Casper, I spotted it using http://www.flightradar24.com/ (http://www.flightradar24.com/)
The photos were taken on 10/11/2010, 0926hrs, the A-380 was spotted flying directly over (my house) Carryduff, and according to flightradar, was flying from the U.S. to France.
Steve.

Took these last Saturday morning between 0740 and 0830;aircraft were approx 15 miles south of my position (Aldergrove) and it was VERY cold so quality is poor.

Even being so far away there's still alot of clarity in them. Certainly seeing more than I am. Can't remember the last time I pointed my camera at the skies :(

Some more from last saturday morning-most of these aircraft were coming from the USA,except the Continental Aircraft which were heading West.

The last bunch of pics wouldn't happen to be around lunchtime today by any chance? If so I think I saw the at least the last couple of items there - I noted a B747 British Airways followed behind by a B767 United over both going Eastbound over Belfast at 12:30
Cheers

Good man Casper! Glad to see you have got the camera to the sky again-thick fog here(near BFS) all day so haven`t seen a thing!
2nd shot looks like a Pakistan A330.
3rd is an A340 but can`t see any markings.
Maybe Dave can help out with this?

Sure thing,
2) is PIA 777-200LR (registered AP-BGZ, they only have two LR's... one in new livery one in the old livery)[Yes, I'm a contrail geek :D ]
3) is a Lufty A340-300, grey belly and I think there blue and yellow on the tail.
Nice catches.

Indeed, lovely clear blue skies and loads of contrails-Tuesday always seems to be busy.
Some from last week:
-
Angry, were those taken with your 500mm lens?
The first pic of the Virgin 747 is very sharp considering how high up it would have been. :)
-
Yes they were,it`s the only lens I have-must look for a 18-55mm for ordinary shots.
I highly recommend Sigma lenses as they are excellent quality and great value.
