A new air link is to be established between London and Glasgow.
British Airways has announced it is to provide a new direct service between Glasgow Airport and London City.
The move was welcomed by business leaders who said it will enhance Glasgow's reputation as a major player in the financial services sector.
The International Financial Services District in Glasgow has created more than 13,000 jobs. Flights to London City will take off in March.
