Title: Thai Airways gets Airbus discount
Post by: casper on February 14, 2007, 12:38:09 PM
Thai Airways is buying eight mid-sized Airbus A330 planes at a discount, in a deal with the European planemaker over delays to the A380 superjumbo.
The airline is getting about $10m (£5m) off the price of the A330, bringing the cost for each jet down to $90m.

The deal comes after Thai Airways threatened to cancel its order for six A380 planes, because their delivery was put back to 2011 instead of 2009.
