Title: raf hawk

During week 11-17 Oct 10 it is planned for 1 x Hawk Aircraft to fly within Low Flying Area 19. The purpose of this flight is to assess the training potential for fast jet flights over Northern Ireland airspace. this is on the JHC FLYING STATION ALDERGROVE THE WEBSITE. :)

Hopefully the weather will hold and we may get to see it.Listening out for 'Victor' callsign  ;)

Not sure of the spelling but the callsign ended with 'zero two bravo'

Sounded mil - but nothing showed on my SBS,even though he went to FL100.

Don't think it was a Hawk though.

That would have been "Aeronaut 02B" G-NFLA Jetstream 31

Apparently there was a Hawk at Aldergrove on Thursday afternoon,but I didn`t see it myself.
A neighbour of mine saw it when he went to pick his wife up from the airport.
 
Weather wasn`t much good last week with the low cloud and fog,so I assume the Hawk might have to reshedule it`s task for another time.

I have a record of one Hawk (XX159) on my SBS for Thursday - but the only altitude recorded was FL430,which suggests it was from Valley and picked up over the Irish Sea.

As AT says, apart from Monday,mist and fog was fairly widespread and would have prevented any low flying.

I found some info on a SBS forum,which suggests it might have been ZK015 or ZK017 which were recorded at 1500ft and 1250ft respectively but from a user on the IOM.
 
Those aircraft are both the new T2 type Hawk.
 
Without a photo or ID from a site member it`s difficult to confirm which type it was,but my neighbour said it was definitely a Hawk and it was painted black.
