I was stunned when I heard this!!
Just look at the record of the French Armed Forces:-
First World War - Invaded and then rescued by UK
Second World War - Invaded and then rescued by UK and the yanks (Who werelate as usual)
Indo-China - LOST
Napoleon - Defeated
Even the french revolution was only won by them cause the other side was FRENCH.
The best regiment in the French Armed Forces is made up of foreigners, many of whom are from the UK
The Maginot Line is an excellent example of their military planning.
De Gaulle was such a great leader that when things got tough .......He fled to England then had the nerve to broadcast to his fellow countreymen to tell them to fight!!!
And the of course there was the Vichy - I wonder what side they would be on.
In recent years the French were not very supportive of the Falklands War and did not bother turning up for the Iraq War.
What sort of a decision was this?????
