A pilot had a lucky escape after his newly built light aircraft crashed into a field near Ashford.
According to a witness who was one of the first to reach the pilot on Saturday, it was on its maiden flight.
Taylor Galloway, who had been working nearby, said the plane suffered engine failure 10 minutes after take off, but the pilot walked away unscathed.
