Title: Canadair
Post by: Tango Tango Fanta on July 15, 2011, 01:20:35 AM
Just had 10 days in Puerto Pollensa in Majorca and spent most days watching a military Canadair splash down, lift off and fly very low over the town time and time again. Great!

Ohhhhh Let me guess. It's a bright yellow Canadair CL-215  ;D

I spent several weeks in Majorca in 1996 and 1998, the first being a family holiday, and the second a swimming club trip. Through out both trips, we were often buzzed by the Yellow Canadair during it's daily flights, it was always fantastic to watch. If I remember correctly, the main hanger was off to the left handside of the main beach.

I snapped this at a Museum near Frankfurt

EDIT; It seems they now have Bombardier Canadair CL-415 now, the bigger brother of the CL-215  ;D
