Post by: hammerhead on May 02, 2013, 06:23:21 PM: Thanks Guys.... Yes Dave its a Sigma 150-500mm OS and I'm still trying to get to grips with it, firstly its a heavy beast to hold but I'm slowly getting used to it.... Hopefully I will get plenty of more practice on Saturday.... ;)

Post by: Dave on May 02, 2013, 07:37:56 PM: I don't know if it's any help however I use a shoulder sling strap (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Anti-slip-Neoprene-Quick-Sling-Shoulder-Belt-Strap-for-DLSR-Camera-Canon-Nikon-/400441813292?pt=UK_Photography_Straps_Hand_Grips&hash=item5d3c31292c) with my Sigma lens(3kg!) and the fitting just screws into the tripod foot. It makes heavier lenses easier to carry for longer lengths of time, and it also saves you neck.
