Meh, we see these in the circuit at Ards all the time in between the C172s  ;)

Unfortunately this a/c doesn't seem to have Mode-S or HFDL fitted, so it's going to be an old-school airband listening exercise to track him in and out.

Are there no commercial flights from Belfast down to Shannon?

I'm off work tomorrow and would have fancied a jaunt down to see it.  I was sure Manx2 flew to Shannon.

22:18 BST Struggling out eastbound over Dublin now

22:21 BST coasting-out over Dublin, must be a heck of a sight as he has barely cleared FL210!

"Shannon, has one of the longest runways in Europe"!!? I'm sure it is longer than any other runway in Ireland but there are many, many longer runways throughout Europe.

"Shannon, has one of the longest runways in Europe"!!?

".. in relation to the the landing fees" is, I assume, the missing clause :)

Interesting that that they stated the stop-over was for crew rest.  For one and a half days?  In Shannon of all places?  Must be tough work flying an An-225!

Edit: The Limerick Leader newspaper enlivens the picture with a couple of lovely ladies, in case we were bored by the aircraft.  But the text seems to be what the RTE newsreader 'adopted' and mangled.
