1100 Weather at Ballygally ( 10 mins up road from Larne ) is awful, visibility is approx 200yrds, very misty over the sea especially, medium rain and very light winds, temp is 16C.

Larne - BBC Weather  Does not look promising, and also we need to factor in the weather enroute. I would say it`s a 70% chance the Lancaster will cancel, but I do hope I am wrong.
Doesn`t seem fair after 3 weeks of great weather, and tomorrow afternoon looks much better, just to rub noses in it.

I know they but apprently the BBMF have a full quota for the flypast at London also and let's say there transit times are slightly longer than the reds.

It's as if the BBMF are spreading themselves very thinly today. They have even mentioned a flypast for the Kings birthday. What's wrong the reds arent doing a flypast this year?

The Red Arrows are doing the King's Flyby, along with the BBMF Spitfire.

Is anyone going to anywhere around Larne to see the Lancaster?  I was thinking of Ballylumford area etc to avoid the crowds, but before that, keeping a close eye on the weather/news updates from BBMF.

Larne is meant to be a display for the Lancaster, the Portadown aspect will likely be a flypast only.

The next event for the Lanc after Larne, is Cumbria at 1846 unless I am reading the list wrongly ?

Belfast International Airport / Re: Sunwing again

Yes, on AirSnideNI one of the actual passengers reported a loud bang from the rear of the aircraft upon rotation. Apparently landed and back to the gate where the crew inspected. I believe after that it departed again, that time with no loud bang.

After their 2017 shenagans (AAIB 2/2018) it seems Sunwing had another issue on 07 today…..

Reported as a tail strike?
