How to add images

There are two ways of adding an image to your post.
The first way is to add it as an attachment (see separate post on how to do this)
The second way is to upload them to a photo hosting site and then link to them in your post.

Click the 'Insert Image' icon - in the row just above the line of smilies it is the second icon from the left.
This will add the following code

Simply add the url to your photo

Click 'Post' and you will see your post with the image included.

Please try and keep your images to a maximum width of 800 pixels

If it's ok with you Casper I have another way of adding images.

Since Flickr has been updated you can now copy the BB code.

Here's what I do.

1.Click on Share above the photo
2.Click on Grab The HTML/BB Code
3.Make sure BB Code is ticked
5.Make sure the size selected is within the forum limit
6.Right click on the code and copy
7.On your forum post right click and paste or hold down CTRL + V

It might sound a bit long but Flickr remembers your options so you will only need steps 6 & 7 so it's just a quick copy and paste

Here's how I found a way to insert off-site images for sites other than flickr, which might not provide handy copy-and-paste links.

Basically it's just a matter of wrapping a small preview image inside a hyperlink, like on a web page but using the board's syntax.

[url=http://some.image.source.example.com/mylovelyphoto_BIG.jpeg][img]http://some.image.source.example.com/mylovelyphoto_PREVIEW.jpeg[/img][/url]
Where http://some.image.source.example.com/mylovelyphoto_BIG.jpeg is the target image you want people to see and the one in the img tags is the preview image that appears in-line the posting.

Sorry was having trouble with spam accounts and had disabled it. Have enabled it now.
