My first aircraft photo.

I caught this ryan air flight passing over coast.
ISO 400
shutter speed 1200
auto focus on AF/C
70-300mm lens

Looking alot better. If you get similar conditions again try dropping the ISO to 200 which should give you a speed of around 1/640 which is still fast enough for the focal length of the lens. How are you finding the new camera?

It's dead easy to use once you set up the small wheel that selects shutter speed it's great. still working out the best ISO No's for each condition as we have some black clouds over head but brilliant sunshine over the coast i thought ISO 400 would do.
here is one without being croped to give you and idea of how far away it was.

You should nip over to BHD for an hour or two someday and spot from Ikea  :)

Does anyone know the type of helicopters they are.
i'm not they clued up on these things yet but i will get here.

Top one is Eurocopter EC155 and the other is an AS-350 Squirrel.
