Aldergrove 18/9/09
« on: September 18, 2009, 08:57:56 AM »
Planning to take a run out to BFS today (finish work at noon on Fridays :)) for a couple of hours if anyone is about.

Would like to see the Harriers arrive but odds are slim to none.

From looking at a couple of sites this morning it seems that 07 is being used today for landings. Never been round that side of the airport but Aldergrove village seems to be the best spot to shoot from.

Wind is SSW at moment (1349) so maybe still using 25.

Best advice I can give when you arrive at Aldergrove is drive down toward s terminal and have a look at McCausland`s building-it has loads of flags and gives a good indication of wind direction.

If you have an airband radio tune into Aldergrove Information Service (128.5 ish) and it will tell you which runway is in use.(not always accurate in calm conditions!)

Forecast for weekend is reasonable but strong Southerly winds on Sunday-might do fly past down 25 and then land on 17.

Not sure which runway guys, but Harriers are arriving at 17:00 today and departing Monday morning
