Would love to get a flight in one of these over the Highlands..
If the current frame is anything to go by, then this new one should be spectacular.
However.. what are the chances of the new variant coming into service in the timescales originally announced.. plus, lets hope the introduction goes a lot more smoothly than the Merlin or previous upgrades to systems like the Chinook??
The Lynx has been astounding over the years (the rotary equivalent to the Harrier) and I'd hate to see it go pear shaped. In fairness though, Westland run a pretty good program, and Sea King upgrades have always been pretty straight forward.
