Repairs.
« on: January 30, 2013, 12:19:18 PM »
Is there anywhere locally that does repairs in-house?

I'm being cheeky and looking for a part, so I can do the job myself (it's a simple fix) and the manufacturer/main dealer (Sigma) wont help.
Being a grumpy old codger I won't pay their fixed price fee for what's literally two minutes work.

Off hand I don't but if you give Calumet in Belfast a call they may be able to point you in the right direction.

Also have you tried ebay? You may get lucky and have someone selling a faulty lens for parts.

Cheers Casper,

Tried Calumet quite a while ago and they were less than keen to help, ditto Jessops.

It's a flash unit actually, rather than a lens.  I check eBay from time to time when I remember (it's been about two years) but so far no joy.

Not a big issue, I have another flash,  but just something I'd like sorted.  Repair bill from Sigma would put me about 2/3 of the way to a new grey import of the same model, so I'm too tight too pay it!
