A Gol airlines jet that was missing with 155 people was discovered Saturday, crashed in the Amazon jungle region. Officials said they were unlikely to find survivors.

The president of Brazil’s airport authority, Jose Carlos Pereira, said two air force helicopter pilots spotted the plane’s wreckage near the Jarina cattle ranch, 1,090 miles northwest of Sao Paulo in the state of Mato Grosso.
