Wanted: Any old issues of Scale Aircraft Modelling

I'm mostly interested in the "Ian Huntley Column" about colour and camouflage but there were usually some other bits and bobs worth reading.  As a young smudge I grew up chuckling at Mike McEvoy's "Tailpiece ".

Anyway if you ever have a pile of old copies that are heading for the recycling bin, drop me a line and I can take them off your doorstop.

I'm sure we can come to some financial arrangement.

From famine to feast; I was the only bidder on an eBay auction for 30 years of Scale Aircraft Modelling, bound in folders.

Now to determine how to move 60kg of paper from Oxford to Newtownards... affordably.

30 years!! If you can get them on a pallet, I know in the past I've found some friendly hauliers I know are happy to lift a pallet

A pallet!  That's an idea, which led to me some couriers who'll sell quarter-pallet space ( up to 250kg ).

My neighbour often receives Indeterminate Large Metal Objects from England on pallets, I'll go and chat with him...

Ta!

How much is a pallet delivery from England?
And do you have any recommendations? Or other advice?

past experience had put me off even considering this option.
However, Amazon delivered a set of car tyres recently.
The local delivery company couldn't tell me the shipping cost. Palletline and their like won't ship to NI.

My neighbour seems to use Woodside for pallets from the mainland but I haven't had a chance to speak to him yet.

He also has a nifty hand-powered forklift!

Another option proposed to me is to split the load into sub-30kg payloads, this seems to be the upper limit for most courier companies.  Need some algebra to find the best combination of weight and cost.

As long as it's not time urgent, I just go to local gentleman with a lorry I know. Usually he is somewhere near to where I need things lifted, with a bit of space on board
