Mustang down at Duxford Flying Legends

Looks like a 2nd Mustang incident this weekend at Flying Legends. Yesterday Berlin Express had its canopy come off and hit its tail, it landed safely. However today Miss Velma has came down in a field close to the motorway beside Duford. Pilot is apparently ok.

Another sad time for the Warbird community but the plus is the pilot is fine.

Seems to be a bad run of airshow accidents/mishaps-good to hear no-one was injured.

Only reports in the media are from a few newspapers-the usual " Horror In The Skies " crap that I will not insult anyone`s intelligence by posting a link to. >:(

I saw one of the tabloid rags mentioned it went down with either a big bang or an explosion. Many people who were there commented saying there was no bang on landing and a lot of the article is false.
