Day trip to Solway Aviation Museum
« on: March 20, 2018, 06:10:27 PM »
The CAA now permits 50%-50% flight costs to be shared officially. (See www. wingly.co.uk)
The Solway Aviation Museum at Carlisle Airport should open at Easter. They have a Vulcan there plus other aircraft. I am planning to fly over there after Easter and anyone who would like to join the trip is welcome. The aircraft is a 2 seater. I need to occupy one seat (obviously) so there is room for one pax plus a bag (a compact camera is recommended!)  The date of flight will be subject to good weather. 50% costs would amount to about £80 (including Museum entrance). Anyone who is interested PM me on this site. Please indicate if you are able to travel weekdays or only on Saturdays. The trip would involve flying time of 1 hour each way and should be easily achieved in a day.
If you cannot get in and out of a bath easily you won’t be able to get in this aircraft!
