Blades new colour scheme for 2010.
« on: June 10, 2010, 12:31:29 AM »
The Blades Display Team have a new Paint scheme for 2010.
They have linked up with the RAF Wings Appeal,and the aircraft will be painted blue (as in the Barclays Scheme of 2008).

Hopefully we shall get to see them display at Portrush. ;D

Not bad. I quite like the Blades display team, they always put on a good show.  ;D

Partially related, Team Guinot are no more, it's now "The Breitling Wingwalkers 2010" with a new livery also;

I must say, the Boeing Stearman's look stunning in the new orange Breitling livery. I can't wait to see them at Portrush, I know ony two are likely to appear but secretly I'm hoping all four appear  :D

EDIT; just noticed that the Breitling team isn't down yet for appearing at portrush :( Neither are the Blades.

Blades are free Portrush weekend but Breitling are due to display in France on 5thSept so doubt they will be at Portrush-maybe on the 4th only.

Blades are free Portrush weekend but Breitling are due to display in Fance on 5thSept so doubt they will be at Portrush-maybe on the 4th only.

Team Guinot always had another display on the same weekend as they appeared in Portrush and it was usually the airshow in France. Thats why we ony ever saw to of their aircraft. They split the 4 of them up, 2 in France, 2 in Portrush. Although one year we did get the full 4 of their aircraf; that was noisey! :D

That`s correct Dave,the team was able to do two venues at once-I think the 4 ship at Portrush was 2006.

The reason I doubt they will be at Portrush 5th Sept,is as yet it would appear that Breitling are only sponsoring two aircraft.
A few of the wingwalkers have left the team as well,so it appears the team may have downsized.

Aerosuperbatics have/had 6 Stearmans at one point,painted in the Guinot colours.

Well thats a huge disappointment :( They are one of my favourite display teams! They're not even down for RIAT or Farnborough :(
