Seemed like it might well have been raining when they came over

;typical of the weather this summer, and for the past 5 or 6 years or more.

Did anyone get any good pics I wonder-I think Cavehill might have been an interesting view point,but maybe too far away,or even that Knockagh monument thing-can you drive up there?

Didn't bother going up as it was absolutely lashing when I left ballymena earlier this morning.

Heard very little of them on the scanner too. 5 mins of chatter and they were gone again.

I was parked up in a small car park at the end of Runway 22 - BHD on the West Bank Road.

A little bit out from the city, yes, but I got a great sighting of them coming all the way from the Cave Hill area and right through until they left the city center, the weather was dismal, and I thought they would have done something special, but ah well, got a video rather than pictures which I will post soon!

They pretty much flew over my back garden when departing over South Belfast. Of course it was sunny up until 5 minutes before the flew over, and then the heavens opened up and it started bucketing down, unfortunately it was still raining hard when they flew over for me, but still great to see them here. I wasn't expecting anything great picture wise (not until Portrush) but did manage to make a quick snap as they appeared out of no where aboth the garden.

What were you expecting?! A flypast is as it says - it wasn't ever meant to be a display.

I'm quite aware that it was a fly past. I know what a fly past is and was expecting just that. However, due to it being the opening of the Olympics - I thought they may have done a second run. I never mentioned anything about a display - I do have common sense to know that a display wasn't planned.

There were 10 over Belfast as well. I watch them from the Boucher Road and could see the tenth flying above and slightly in front - presumably taking photos / video?

Missed it! Took my Mum to the Doctors instead.

I was just about to head up Cave Hill with my tripod and camera packed when a quick call to my parents meant I was doing something else. Sorry I missed the fly by but glad I didn't get a soaking up on the hill. Still, I'm very happy that most of you got to see it and get such great shots. Ah well, maybe another time?

I always try and get up to Portrush, Jake, but as with nearly every other Airshow in the north a spanner is always thrown into my plans, usually by work, and I've got a feeling I'll be working that whole weekend! I may go across the water to a show if possible!
