BEST AIRSHOW I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE TO ATTEND.
Top notch.
Excellent flying displays - Even through the valley in the Mournes which seems to have become a favourite with the pilots.
Brilliant day - over 1000 pictures taken so I will be busy.

Great to see Ulster Aviation Society there as well - Even the Radio DJ made a comment regarding them not needing the permission of OFMDFM to attend which I thought was good.

Quality Day - I will definitely be back :goodjob:

The Newcastle show goes from strength to strength each year. Congrats to the organisers! And it's usually blessed with half decent weather too.

Might be a good idea for them to know about retreating tides and have two flight line options for pilots.

Greats pics guys! The only problem I had with some of the display is that I thought that the some of the aircraft were following the the tide as it slowing went out.  I had a 500mm lens and was struggling to get a decent picture of the Canberra for example, thoughts?

Yeah, but I think that the rule is "don't fly over the crowd". Obviously this is easy enough to ensure at an airfield as the runway becomes the flight line.

With seaside displays, they need to check the expected tide and have alternative markers available so that the flight line can be in closer to the crowd. The prob with a boat as a marker is that it will float out with the tide.

The Reds clearly were not using the boat for their flight line after the initial first few formations.

Slightly more to it than that.... http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/cap403.pdf

Canberra and one Hunter will depart this afternoon.

Second Hunter stuck here for a week or so, needs parts from mainlaand.

Vampires may stay until Thursday unless weather lifts today.
