G-BZIP microlight crash at Newtownards
« on: December 04, 2008, 06:45:12 PM »
I have got word that a Newtownards based Microlight, G-BZIP, has crash just outside the airfield boundaries earlier today. It was mentioned on the news radio but I have not heard anything else about it. A friend of mine was down there after it happened however said the aircraft had been covered up and was in the process of being towed away. Both people on board walked away uninjured I believe so thats good news.

Good to hear everybody was OK--Lego,did you ask permission to use that photo?
I have heard the owner of that website is VERY strict about copyright.

I didn't get permission to link the photo although I do know the person who took the photo if that makes any difference. :-X

There usually isn't a problem as long as the 'copyright bar' at the bottom of the photo is visible.
It's when people crop this off when using pics that pi$$es people off - it has happened to me in the past. >:(

Certainly can't see it being a problem as it's a link to the photo and not being passed of as his own :)

Looks like it isn't a big enough story to appear or the BBC or UTV websites.

I don`t think it should be a problem to use the pic,but sometimes it`s best to ask the owners permission first-would not want Casper getting in bother. :)
How do you know the photographer?-he sure seems to get about!
Local news prob not interested cause no one died-the media are very cynical when it comes to aircraft related stories.

I emailed the photographer regarding plane spotting in ulster and since then we've sent the odd emails. It was on the radio yesterday, even my mom knew about it which is really saying something!
