Good stuff, all I want is a good photo of the 3 aircraft fly past and I'll be happy. Shame the Lanc won't be there but the DC-3 is good enough  8)

Would that be the Caledonian Chipmunks? Seen them before and they are good.

Getting better - the two Typhoons will still do the flypast on Saturday but then one will go straight into a display (fuel permitting).

I seem to find this forum around this time of year when i'm looking info on the local airshow, looks like a good lineup. The star of the show for me will be the Huey, I hope she comes in close to the front, though I might venture up to tennis courts this year for a change.

Any of you guys at any shows in England this year? I've good videos of Flying legends and RIAT if your interested, Vulcan included.

:Welcome: Hi Robert and welcome to the forum. Just saw you on the schedule for the show so will try and make it to you before the show. As a matter of interest are you the same group that displayed at Newtownards on 2007 and lost the Hawk?

yes thats correct it was caused by a bird strike,as we had video footage and went through it frame by frame and saw what happened, by the way the jet was worth almost £4000 and was completely destroyed.

I had just been talking to someone on the stall about the RC aircraft and he mentioned that the Hawk would be flying very shortly. I only watched it for a short time, turned away and heard the bang. Sad end indeed - I suppose it's near impossible to get insurance for RC aircraft.

We have reached a compromise. my wife has said that dad and me will camp and the wifw will come down on sat or sun and we can enjoy the airshow all weekend so camp site still ok would'nt cancel it for us just incase things changed and they did. I'm really glad the way it has worked out. :goodjob:
He has to go to altnagelvin on fri next week to find out if he needs to have A PIN PUT IN PLACE or just a new plaster cast.

OK ready for some more great news? I've had to sit on this for 2 weeks and I've been itching to tell.

I got a call from Airbus and they asked if we'd be interested in displaying one of their planes at Portrush. Naturally I said yes, and asked which one. He says, "Oh its the 380"

I nearly fell off the chair.

So, Saturday 5th, about 2.30pm, shes coming in over the bay and the pilot has promised to "leave the crowd amazed".

What a sight with the Navy ship in same shot.
