Congrats Wayne! Airliners.net is probably the highest ranking professional photography website so well done.

Personally I have been concentrating my efforts upon uploading to jetphotos.net and improving before attempting uploads at airliners.net as once you get afew rejetions on A.net, it can make things harder when uploading for the next while afterwards.

Well  done Vortex-I don`t bother with airliners.net because I think they are much too critical of anything other than pro shots-I have submitted a few in the past but they were rejected for really pety reasons so I didn`t bother again. It also seems to have "cleeks".

I`m not a pro-photographer with access to thousands of ponds worth of hi-tech equipment-I`m a keen amateur and proud of it!

I know how you feel Angry - i had half a dozen others rejected for petty reasons - JetPhotos turned a couple down for equally ridiculous reasons :(.The consistency in screening seems to go out the window at times, however i was determined to get one onto A.net even if i don't submit any more :D

Well done vortex but I'm surprised it has taken you so long to submit that one because it's a cracker :) I only every had one accepted, but as Angry has said they set the bar too high for me.
I have had more success at the following sites though

www.jetphotos.net
www.photos.aero
www.airplane-pictures.net

I've seen pics rejected because a tuft of grass was obscuring a wheel of the aircraft  :-X :-X

Oh I've seen me submitting a close up of the nose of an aeroplane on to have it rejected because 'part of aircraft cut off' :lol

To follow on from Vortex003's post, I'd like to announce that I had my first photo accepted by Airliners.net yesterday (was also the first I'd submitted).

Was absolutely overjoyed when I got the email. I've been visiting A.net for years (never even knew about JetPhotos or Airplane-Pictures until I joined this group) but never dared submit anything as I kept looking at the quality of the accepted shots and thinking, "I'm nowhere near that good." I only got my SLR last year (ironically I bought it specifically for the Portrush airshow) and have been out taking loads of photos, mixture of landscape, motorsports and aviation.

Granted I've read about the 'issues' with photos that get rejected but you'd agree that getting accepted is a major achievement.

Dec (still on cloud nine)  :)

No it was open to anyone but it wasn't heavily advertised. I'm not a member and only knew about it through a friend at Bombardier.

Was a great afternoon, took over 400 pics  :)

The PSNI were there for less than an hour before getting called away. I'll upload photos of the other helicopters that were there, some of which you'll probably know.

As mentioned above, congrats Dec on getting the photo onto airliners.net, as its a well known fact that getting photos accepted there can be tricky. Hope to see many more  ;)

For me, airliners is very difficult to get photos on for one good reason. They preach the rules on the forum constantly, but what is usually the criteria can be vastly different to what actually gets onto the database.

Still, I haven't uploaded for almost a year now!

I love the Eurofighter refueling on the screen!

With George's first upload, it brings the number of members of the NIaviation spotting group on JP.net to 8.
