Bad weather for pics
« on: May 20, 2009, 09:03:31 PM »
was off work today and decided to see if i could dodge the showers and get some pics as i need all the practice i can get before the Reds and Typhoon arrive in 10 days.....  Not many movements in the hour or so i was there and it was raining so hard at one time the tower lost visual contact with the aircraft in the circuit...  so heres the best of the few pics i did get.... :-[

The clouds did part for a few mins and the AW139 came out a bit better than the planes.... ;)

The AW139 shots are very nice, but it looks like you where down in the grass sneaking up on it :)

The 135s are out most days as well but seeing as there are only two compared to the eight 139s you could be waiting hours for one to come along whereas the 139s usually have three or four coming or going any particular day....and you can almost rely on seeing one of the Garda 135s at some stage....excuse the quality of the second shot...was having a bad day.... :(

Haha naughty!

Pitty about the weather. The only way to get any form of shots in dull weather is panning shots, and even then getting a panning shot of an aircraft in the sky doesn't have th same effect as capturing ground in the background. The bigger camera might be able to go to ISO 400 - 800 without too much graining but for me ISO 200 is the limit :(
