Puma`s at RAF Aldergrove

Saw two RAF Puma`s 1305 heading South West near Ballinderry followed shortly by an AAC Islander heading in the direction of Lurgan-are the natives restless again or an exercise I wonder.

Keep an eye out Casper and you might see them.

Have seen a few more twin Puma formations this week.

On Tuesday I had to drive to Dungannon and saw 2 Puma`s heading towards Lurgan,then down to Craigavon and Armagh direction-lost sight of them near Ballygally rounabout so they could have went to Omagh and/or Enniskillen.

Both had the doors open-saw similar on Wednesday landing back at Aldergrove at 5.10pm

Two Puma`s went out last night approx 22.05 heading towards Antrim at low level-heard them request "special VFR" ??? from the controller at BFS.

Also saw 2 Gazelle`s returning to BFS (20.45)got pic and will post up later-they were far away but worth a look.

Two RAF Puma`s again took off from BFS this morning 0830 approx,did one circuit and then headed towards Lurgan/Craigavon area.

Maybe they just skirt round the edge of Lough Neagh Casper and that`s why you don`t see them-I usually see them every day during the week (I work near Ballinderry (Lisburn).

Thursday evenings seem busy for heli activity around BFS-Gazelle`s and Puma`s out playing around the Lough.

It at angles like that were I can clearly see the likeness to the Mi-24 Hind. Well caught by the way.
