I was watching it then it went into some clouds then dissappeared. the sky was clear behind the cloud so i should have seen it leave the clouds but it must have changed it's flight path and stayed in the clouds.

That would be a Global Supply Systems B747F. They operate cargo flights on behalf of British Airways. Nice catch!
