« on: July 16, 2009, 06:04:49 PM »
Got back from holidays last nite to be informed my Uncle had passed away  :( so i had a funeral to go to today so i haven't had much time to sort through the 2000+ pics i took while i was over at yeovilton.... the weather was completely against anyone trying to take pics.... low cloud and very dark but i did enjoy the show and hope to get back for next years..... ;D      heres a few that give a taste of what i took ...some are from the Fri arrivals and practice.... hope you like....

Almost forgot the star of the arrivals..... ::)

Welcome back and I'm sorry for your loss. Nice photos despite the weather but the closeup of the Hawkeye is the one for me.

Welcome back Don! Sorry to hear about the loss of your uncle :(

Some great photos there, shame about the weather but it looks like you got some great photos. I love the reflection of the proper in the Hawkeye cockpit window. The Vulcan shot is also a good catch  8)

If someone wasn't familar with the Frecci Tricolori's display, the picture of the singleton would look like he's about to crash.  ;D

Thanks for the comments guys..... i have so many shots it's going to take me weeks to get through them all  ;D
heres a few more...first up a shot that shows how low the cloud and light really was... ::)
then a couple of the statics that were really hard to get a good shot of as the barriers were too close to he aircraft most of the time  >:(
the brightest aircraft present werent even navy ones... ::)  ;D

the takeoff for the flypast had lots of helos
Then Prince Andrew arrived on board this biz jet
The helos return  :o
I could fill a page with just helos but i really liked this one
Heres a Nimrod for Dave... its the 1930s one... ;D
The Skyraider was massive...in every meaning... :o
If you want i will post more.... dont want to bore you all with my holiday pics... :LOL

Nice. Just a pity it was so dull. The landing/take-off shots are great.

Hope you don't mind but I ran one through Lightroom to see if I could brighten it up a wee bit.

Cool photos  ;D Shame about the wather but cool to see the De Havilland Venom(?) flying. It used to be in a Red Bull livery I think and theres only one aircraft of this type flying in the World :)

your nearly got it Dave...  ;)   Its a Sea Vixen and as you said its the only flying one in the world so its as rare as the Vulcan.... im slowly getting through all the pics but as the cloud was down to 500ft and a lot of the aircraft were the same colour as the clouds it was very hard to get good pics of the flying...   heres a few more i hope you will like.... ;D
