A freind of mine has just bought this lens 500-1000mm High Definition Mirror Telephoto Lens.

A lens of that focal length would be of very limited use without a tripod-I had a 600mm Mirror lens with a fixed aperture of F8 and was very tricky to use (I bought it cheap on Ebay and sold it on at a tidy profit :))

Depends of course what it is going to be used for but for aviation photography it would be a bit of a handful.

Must have cost a small fortune!
