Dublin Airport 06-08-09
« on: August 07, 2009, 11:36:48 AM »
What a brilliant day - the sun even shone :) Many thanks to Hammerhead for showing (and chauffering) us around. This is just a few that I've looked at - they haven't been edited other than brightness and cropped.

Lovely series of photos by all. Can't wait for the next outing :)
Wondering how many of you had photos ruined by the foreground clutter :(

That series of photo's with the foreground clutter are ok. But you can't always get a clear view when spotting as i found out a few years ago at st.andrews, The golf course had huge galleries for the spectators and they blocked some areas then i found a small spot but the stewards said i couldn't take any photo's in case it made too much noise. So i had to walk a few more miles untill i got close to the area they tornado's were comming in to land but by the time i got there the trainning was over.
All theese worlds are yours except EUROPA

The fences, lights etc at Dublin Airport are a real pain: also buses and HGV`s that use the perimeter road can often get in the way, only way round it is too use a different viewpoint or bring an angle grinder :o  ;D

Sometimes you just can't get to take pictures because people also get in your way :)

Great shots from all, it was a good day. I can't really add to any of the photos shown apart from adding the Swiss International A320, which I flew on over 2 weels later to Zurich  and the Air Canada 767 which made my day 8)

You know how we were all balancing on the little posts of the road sign right next to the bend in the road...

We could've just used the mound right behind it!   :LOL

Now Dave do you think that while you were standing on the barrier you would have spotted a large mound 20ft from you..... ::)     That was only there while the work building the new tower and hardstanding area was happening...you can see it in the pic link you posted..... it was removed when the work ended and that area is now a nice flat field again.... ;D

Oppppsss... I was wondering how I didn't spot it at the time!  Shame its gone now, it looks like some good shots could have been taken from there.
