Hi guys I've been on this forum for while now but have never bothered my rear end to get radar360.  So I'm looking if someone can send me in the right direction to get myself onto radar360 cheers guys.

I've been subscribing to 360radar for 6 months now and was on it as a tester for about a year prior to that, I highly recommend joining, great for heads up if you are into the military stuff and excellent value for money (£20 per year or £6 for 3 months).

Here's a bit about it including a link on joining:

360Radar.co.uk is a new aircraft tracking system which tracks civilian and military aircraft across the UK and Ireland. The aircraft can be tracked within a web browser which works perfectly on desktop (PC and Mac) as well as mobile (Android and iPhone). We track aircraft using a combination of ADSB, MLAT, FLARM and JAERO data. Soon it will be adding support for AIS, AirWhere and PilotAware data too.

Contributors of ADS-B & MLAT data get free access to it whilst non-contributors will pay £19.99/year (or £5.99 for 3 months) which goes to paying for the six webservers needed to run the system. There are plenty of screenshots of the site in use further down the page so you can see how it performs. 3 questions:

Are lowflyingwales and 360radar one and the same?
How many subscribers are there in NI? (i.e. readers)
How many people on niaviation actually contribute to 360radar? (Put your hands up if you are ;-) )


Seems like there's only 3 uploaders... down from 5 a few months back.

(Personal disclosure: I've been more interested in building antennas and playing around with SDR than actually contributing to any sharers. The Islander loops round Glengormley last week made me realise just how poor coverage is in NI)

I'm one of the three here, the most southerly one, and yes they are the same LFW and 360.

Now your talking... just playing with SDR# lately with the Scanner plugin - covers the whole airband in about a second!

There is helicopter activity over Belfast lough this morning. PSNR. 360Radar briefly showed it near Rathlin.
I assume this is down to lack of coverage in NI?
Ie its being picked up by Scottish sharers and the angles are just too narrow to render properly?

Similarly, I doubt the islander is flyng loops over Donegal...
