VC-10 at BFS tonight

VC-10 arrived BFS approx 2135 and departed for Brize Norten at approx 2200.

Nice one, thanks for the info. I heard something loud go over just after 10 so thought it was likely to be a VC-10. Why are they still using Aldergrove when the RAF has left?

You'll probably find that they'll still use the RAF for re-supply flights.

There are still some Pumas active here too,so the RAF havn't disappeared altogether. ;) 8)

As Casper says - the RAF will still be required to re-supply JHCFS( :-X)Aldergrove.

Troops based at Ballykinler have been returning from Afghanistan this week so perhaps the VC-10 was involved in that.?

Still at least 3 Puma`s operating out of Aldergrove this week so the RAF presence continues although greatly reduced.
