Wow
Airbus take the majority stake in C-Series programme for no money and no debt. This will be carved out proportionally from Bombardier's and Investment Québec's existing stakes, reducing them to 30.9% and 19% respectively ( currently 62% and 38% ).
Bombardier are on the peg for anything up to C$700 million in shortfall in the first three years.
Both Airbus and Bombardier have call and put rights regarding the latter's remaining stake. If it all goes well then technically Airbus can buy-out Bombardier's interest, if not then the latter can force a sale to get out of it.
Airbus will enter into agreements regarding:
(i) sales and marketing support services for the C Series
(ii) management of procurement, which will include leading negotiations to improve CSALP level supplier agreements
(iii) customer support
Good news for the folk at Belfast and Mobile but not so sure about Mirabel.
