Stayed the full day as my work colleague was doing stuff with the ulster aviation society so was nice to go down during intervals for a chat...the swiss formation was class but what annoyed me more was no info about the lansdown tennis courts..i always go down early for the flyins and such a shock that the tennis courts are a building site. So will the huey and loach do a static tomorrow and what about the navy helicopter.....I would pay to see a non seaside airshow in northern ireland and im sure a lot more people would pay as well.....loved the wildcats and the global stars were good...typhoon was so close around ramore this year but such a short display...but agree with the comments...2 displays went tech during the week and i find it hard to believe that with such a network there was lack of information. Will i go up tommor...depends on the scottish weather!!!! Need my spitfire and hurricane fix...a whole year is too long for a hit!!!

Argh... most of my photos came out grainy. Guess who forgot to check ISO settings?  Had it set on 3200 for most of the show, only caught on towards the end.

I think there would be a demand for an airfield based/pay entry show here, possibly alternate years between Newtownards and Aldergrove, have it earlier in the season.
I`m not entirely sure why the Ards shows stopped, doubtless it was council funding or insurance related or finance of some sort. The shows always had a great mix of types and were well attended, the Ards business didn`t seem concerned about either as far as I am aware.

As mentioned earlier, any show can be affected by bad weather, but with Portrush it is almost always a problem, one way or the other.
With Northern Ireland`s strong aviation heritage we deserve better.

With the new CAA rules around airshows and built up areas I don’t think there will ever be an airshow at Ards.

Looks like the Lancaster got her issues sorted. Up over Manchester now after doing a few loops around the town of Lancaster.
