I am not sure how many members on here use flickr as one of their main photo hosting sites, but I suspect it is quite a few.
Just wondered how many of you had noticed that flickr are now limiting the amount of groups you can submit your photos to,this seems to have been done with out any consultation with members, and has caused a great deal of bad feeling.
If you are a user that doesn`t upload much,it likely won`t be a problem, but many of the regular uploaders and daily users are not happy at all.
You can voice your opinion on the flickr forum thread here..........
https://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/211185-us-flickr/suggestions/32291793-why-set-the-limit-of-sharing-photos-with-groupsBasically what they have done is if you are a non-paying member you can now only upload your pics to a max of 30 groups,or a max of 60 groups if you pay the subscription.
This has caused an almighty row, especially in the aviation related groups as there are thousands of them, and I suppose other topics also have a large amount of groups.
Flickr say this was done to stop people spamming sites with loads of pics, what it has actually done is ruined what was meant to be a FREE photo hosting site, and made it a bit of a sham really.
Most folk that I know in the flickr community have 100 to 300+ groups that they use,be it for aircraft shots, landscapes, nature, sunsets,or whatever else,so limiting how many groups you can post your photos to has ruined the enjoyment of the site for many.
