What was the reason of the go-around?

not sure on height but it is low depending on cloud cover but it may have been too early and had to wait untill permission was granted.

Can be many reason`s for a go around-a problem with the aircraft,e.g(electrical, hydraulic, passenger related),or something on the ground eg(FOD,spillage, birds)

Did the aircraft go in for an attempt to land and then abort,or was it just put in a holding pattern?

It was heading for a go around before it headed for derry the flight path is either comming over my house then land at derry or comming in from the left then heading for derry this was flying over my house then turned for a go around it was quite a steep bank. compared to other go arounds.

I would strongly suspect there was a problem with birds around the airfield, and that is what caused the deviation from normal flight path.

There is quite a difference between a "go-around" and being put in a temporary holding pattern.
A "go-around" is usually when an aircraft aborts it`s landing attempt on final approach at  a late stage.

BFS has been having problems with large flocks of starlings for months now-strange how many airports have nature reserves near them.

A freind was waiting at greysteel when he heard the scanner say that a ryan air flight had to go around due to an aircraft on runway. Must have been a late departure. i have no details as he forgot them so he says.
