Stunning catch!
« on: November 27, 2009, 11:03:59 PM »
Just came across this pic over at airliners.net and thought it was worth linking to over here. Fantastic catch, and I'm glad everything was ok in the end although the RH undercarriage looks pretty bent!

Wow! Just wow! Some people are just lucky to be in the right place at the right time!

What do you reckon? Did they land it or was that a go-around?

What a great moment to capture and I see the photographer is a member of Portugal Spotters so we probably saw him on our visit to Madrid....

What is the chance of ever getting a shot like that!!! I don't know who would have been the most frightened, the pilot, passangers or the spotter. Nice link Dave

Here's a picture showing the squence of events during the landing. Kudos to the photographer Paulo Santos!

The 5th image in the bottom corner looks as good as the main image, and is currently in the queue at airliners.net so I will link it over here when it appears.

Simply stunning shot, photograph of the year for me :)
