RAF 100 Batton Relay
« on: May 24, 2018, 07:46:56 PM »
Can anyone tell me if the RAF Batton Relay came to Aldergrove on 12th May 2018? The Facebook site shows that date for its visit but I don't recall hearing anything about it in the Media, I probably just missed it mind you. If it did come was there a flypast? Thanks.

Yeah, it was here. Very low-key though. Don't think there was a flypast.

I'd say more than likely it has been transported via civvy airline.I still feel that the RAF haven't really bothered too much with  celebrating its 100 years . Think will have to wait for portrush to be honest I'm not holding my breath for anything spectacular compared to what the mainland will get. And I don't blame the organisers at airwaves is just I don't feel that the military support anything overhear as much as they do in the mainland.

This is how the baton arrived in N.I.

1251 - SHF244 - XW199 - Puma HC2 - departed Caernarfon (EGCK) and calling Aldergrove approach.
