If you look closley at the A340 I think there are white crosses on the winglets which made me think it was Swiss.
Maybe you could give me a few pointers on ID`ing the A330 and 777? They look very similar at altitude.
I just checked, Swiss have no grey paint on the botton of the fuselages, I presume the white paint on the wingtip is the Turkish logo.
As for identifying aircraft type at altitude, years of studying aircraft wing shapes, etc, as a kid to produce lego models

777's have the very swept back wings and and quite wide at the wing root, the A330's have less sept wings, and narrow at the wing root. Also the 777's have 3 fair track fairings pe wing where as the A330's have 4 per wing.
Noticed this tonight at 20.00 XL Airways A330 I think.
XL Airways UK went bust last year but, apparently XL Airways France and XL Airways Germany were unaffected.
Seemed strange to see the XL brand in the skies again.
Also noticed this Boeing B747-400 at around 20.30
Fantastic, it's a shame the British XL Airways went bust, they had some nice aircraft.
