BFS 13-02-10 (with a little BHD thrown in)
« on: February 13, 2010, 04:14:32 PM »
Decided to kill two birds with one stone this morning. Headed down to BHD to catch the arrival of the EasyJet flight from Luton. Alas the weather was nowhere near as good as it had been on Thursday morning for Dave.

Then it was up to Aldergrove to catch CO94 from Newark, which was running late (as usual).

The sun came out 5 minutes AFTER he landed.

All in all not a bad mornings work  :)

The Easyjet shots at BHD are pretty good, I thought the Easyjet arrived nearly an hour before sunrise these days yet you still caught it well? When time did you take the shots at when at BHD? Also the BFS  shots look good as well, always nice to have the sun out in the morning.

Killead Church. If you walk up the road towards the 'Control Zone' signs there's a section free of both trees and power lines.

EasyJet arrived at 8:15am. I'd photographed a BMI and a biz-jet which had landed beforehand but they came out nearly pitch black. For a change I thought I'd shoot from the fence across the road from IKEA but I wasn't there 20 seconds before a security guard asked me not to  :D and they weren't even open.

Dave, you obviously had better luck when you were down on Thursday.

Thats rotten luck with the security guard, especially considering myself and Keith were at the fence for two and a half hours on Thursday. I guess it jsut depends which guard is on duty. As I mentioned in the other thread, a police car came up behind in the bus turning circle, had a quick look at us and then headed on their ways, so no issues there.

I much prefer the fench for spotting than the multistorey car park, I just prefer the view from there. Also the top level of the car park can get quite windy and during winter, theres always a wind chill.
