Okay, I realise I give out about it every time I mention it but obviously I'm still paying for it so I must think it's worth something. :D

Is anyone else finding it a bit lacking in coverage lately? Around these parts and over in Scotland at least, where I've been looking the last 24 hours or so ADSB Exchange has markedly more aircraft displayed.

PP has lost its midlands and west coast stations which were sparse but at least helped with MLATs.  Looks like their Cornwall coverage has dropped even more significantly!

I think people have drifted over to the more 'open' networks like ADSB Exchange and 360Radar which can be fed from the same equipment but have user interfaces that better fit modern mobile and web usage.

Planeplotter won't be competitive until it is re-architected to split the feeding and view functions, it's still one big complex monolithic blackbox typical of old-style PC programs.  Most people don't want to learn about all the knobs and buttons, they just want to load a map and look at aeroplanes.
