I wouldnt be holding my breath. Ive saw them listed before for shows and they never turn up. Ive heard excuses from shortage of aircraft to bad weather.

Judging by the fact that it mentions the signal is acquired by MLAT , the aircraft isn't transmitting full ADS-b details, so not only is the location an approximation ,but as soon as the signal is lost the tracking will stop there

Yes, they flew over Ards on way into BFS around 1200, lining up behind an inbound easyJet that was infront of them.

In the afternoon, they departed runway 25 and made a left turn, flying over Dromore direction.  I did wonder if they planned to head home, but were scoping out the drop zone in case there was a gap in the cloud.

Not sure if they're coming back at all?  Would be a lot of flying to go to Eng yesterday, just to come back today?  Weather isn't looking great for a parachute jump - low clouds etc.

Was anyone able to confirm if the Falcons did depart straight back to blighty?? To be honest September isn't the greatest month to be holding a parachute display due to the weather. Of my memory serves me right I've never saw the falcons jump at any airshow due to one reason or the other. I think one of the last ones was Portrush and they said that it was due to a lack of aircraft at the time. I think they where planned for the airshow in Luechars one year and didn't display.

Today's display had been cancelled yesterday, so possible they went home. They will return tomorrow.

I recall  parachute display at Portrush - maybe 2005/06?

Last time they jumped in Northern Ireland was Newcastle Festival of Flight 2014.

I've been to quite a lot of shows where the Falcon's were scheduled, and yet I've only ever seen them twice. Newcastle 2014 & Cosford 2018. They were due to display both days of Duxford in July but pulled out at the last minute.  They were also due in Newcastle in 2018 and the listing disappeared later in the season.

Falcons were scheduled for Portrush in 2018, 2012 & 2008 and didn't display at any of those 3. The other records I have for them being in Portrush are the 2002 Jubilee Airshow, the first for Portrush and the following year in 2003.
