Do we have any timings etc for it? So hopefully 2 spits less than a week apart with the polish wings due (hopefully) back on 9th.

I don't suppose anyone has a datum point for the Belfast flypast?
Trying to think of somewhere to watch without actually having to go near the festival thingy.

You could maybe try walking onto one of the various bridges, but I`m not sure if they have pedestrian access. it could be a load of hassle for not very much.
I suspect it could be a fairly high pass, and may well be rather disappointing, but I hope I`m wrong.

Spitfire has just arrived at Prestwick.

Weather should be ok for its fly over in NI - cloudy but at least no rain.

Just noticed spitfire PM631 leaving Edinburgh area possibly heading to Prestwick also so possibly a few flypast today

No sign of AB910 departing PIK yet, and as mentioned PM361 heading for PIK, lost it below 1500ft.

Saw him from the house he done a few loops then headed off towards black mountain direction. Will he be stopping for some fuel before heading back I wonder

Nope , already on his way back to prestwick.
I think EGAA asked him to do a run/break over the runway, but he refused saying he hadn't got the fuel .... Spoilsport !

I'm pretty sure I heard him say he hadn't the fuel to hold, after his runs over Titianic. He didn't seem to happy with the ATC at the City - they didn't seem to have his flight plan/intentions pre-notified? Having said that, I was listening while driving so might have missed some of the conversation.

Does anyone have the flightpath between Belfast and Ballykelly? Did she go over Moira/Maghaberry direction?

@jasT1981 I can't say to be sure, however it was unlikely as I do know he went from Belfast City, direct to the EGAA overhead, although I was only getting the comms from the Spitfire.
( and rookie posted earlier about him heading off in the direction of Black Mountain )

@Jimi182 Yes, I heard that too when he was on with City ATC, however after he was handed off to Aldergrove ATC he was asked to do something which he refused due to fuel. I did not hear exactly was the request was, due to poor communications reception from Aldergrove here

( I was just assuming by the apologetic nature of his reply to ATC that it was for a approach/go around or something like that so they could get a the spitfire up close )

That's a pity he didn't want to do the break over EGAA. It must be that the BBMF are very strict, and the pilot can do only what is pre-planned? I guess when you're flying a 70+ year old airplane over the Irish sea and back, with no fuel stop, you wouldn't want to be doing anything that isn't planned?
