RAF Herc BFS today

RAF C-130J Hercules C.4 ZH879 just carried out a practise missed approach at BFS.
 
Note the modifications for rough landing strip protection.

Was it just pure luck that you were there when this showed up or did you know in advance that it was coming?

Would love to see a Herc at BFS  :(

I live near the threshold of 25 and was in the garden taking shots of any high flyers and the Herc just turned up ;D
 
If I had known about it I would have posted it up here;Haven`t seen a Herc at BFS for ages,so it was nice to see one.

Hi further Herk inbound Belfast now just overhead Bangor at 19.40. 43C041 ZH865 C130J  Ascot 362.

Didn`t see or hear it-I was out in the garden until around 1930,was fairly quiet up here yesterday evening so perhaps it didn`t come into BFS.
Runway 25 was in use last night so they would have had to pass my house-I will try and find out if it landed or maybe it just did a flyby.

Pretty sure he didn't land as he climbed about 6 minutes after passing Bangor then stayed on the box for quite a while.
