Great photos Paul.
I thought I would add my two cents worth about the Portrush Airshow.
I thought the Portrush Airshow was awful. I appreciate you can't legislate for the weather. I headed down on Saturday and was that disgusted didn't bother going down on the Sunday. Firstly, Portrush doesn't have the infrastructure to cope with crowds of people that attend. I think the volume of people this year was well down from last year, even so it still took me two and a half hours to get out of Portrush town at the end. Finding a decent parking space in the town itself is near impossible. I think maybe a park and ride service might be an idea. The flying display was a disappointing. The Eurofighter Typhoon was advertised to be there at 5 before the Red Arrows it didn't arrive. Then it was to close the show after the Red arrows, it didn't arrive. The commentator said that due to the weather it couldn't get across the Irish Sea, (What!!!! its an all weather fast jet.) Then to add insult to my disappointment as I sat in traffic to go home at 7pm it appeared and did its display.
I am a veteran to many airshows in the mainland, my favourite being RIAT which I have attended every year for the last 10 years and maybe my expectations are too high for this country of ours to put on an well organised decent show.
Anyway sorry for the rant and if you attended and enjoyed it that's great but I don't think I will go again if its on .
