Forget I think, the quality wouldn't be too good.  :)

Depends what you expect from it-with these things price is a good indicator.
Might be OK with a tripod but I would avoid the x2 converter which will loose even more quality.

I noticed the filters are only for the small end that fits to the camera,so the front of the lens is exposed to the elements, therfore you may have to get a filter for that end 76mm I think it said.
A good filter of that size would be fairly expensive,so bear that in mind.

I have used a SIGMA 600mm Mirror lens before with 35mm film Nikon camera, and unless you have really good light,it`s of little use.

Still if you can get it cheap enough,it might be useful to you,but don`t expect too much.
You could always re-sell it if you don`t think it`s much good. ;)

Well you have all focal lengths from 18 - 300mm covered. It really depends on what you want to photograph? Do you want to do portraiture, macro, landscapes or aircraft?

Hey String, my first thought was that it probably wouldn't be a good lens... with photography you pretty much get what you pay for.

Having looked up pictures on flickr that were taken with the Cosin lens, they arn't that bad. See here. You would have to make sure it's compatible with which ever camera body you have. My personal recommendation would be to get a 70-300mm lens, depending on your budget.

My advice would be to learn your trade with what you have already.

When you feel your equipment is restricting the quality of your shot`s then upgrade, and try to spend as much as you can afford-unfortunatly quality doesn`t come cheap, but don`t rush in to buying stuff just on price.

There are plenty of good photographic review websites, that offer great advice on what to buy-try to tailor your purchase to the type of photos you take most of.

Is it just for general use,or mainly for aircraft? All this needs to be on your list of considerations. :)
