Red Arrows crash at Bournemouth

It has been reported that a Red Arrows Hawk has crashed in Bournemouth after a display-it appears the accident happened after a display,whilst recovering to Bournmouth airport.
 
Details are limited at the moment.

Terrible news. Lets hope the pilot is ok,
More bad news, the Vulcan has a problem, a fuel leak, and it may take 2/3 weeks to repair, not looking good for Portrush air show at moment, fingers crossed for good outcome for both, and although the Vulcan can be repaired, I sincerely hope the Red Arrows pilot is safe.

Oh Dear, Just seen footage on BBC News showing a red arrow seemingly going down. I hope the pilot managed to eject...

Terrible news indeed,and from looking at the video,it appears that there was no sign of a parachute or ejection.
It reminds me very much of a fatal accident involving the US Navy Blue angels a few years ago;although the Reds use G-suits unlike the Blue Angels.
It looks as if the aircraft simply hasn`t height to recover as it turns for what ever reason (possible blackout?).
I would very much doubt the accident was surviable,and the apparent body language of the other team members once landed would indicate it is likely a fatal incident.
Obviously our thoughts are with the team and their family`s-how this will affect forthcoming displays remains to be seen,but that doesn`t seem important at this stage.

While it's great that the Reds have been cleared to resume flying, this would indicate that they have an understanding as to the cause of the crash.

Or at least they know it wasn't due to mechanical issues.

In my opinon I think it would be wrong to expect the Reds to return to display flying this season.
 
Some sort of a limited display as a tribute to Red 4 would be a nice gesture,but to expect the team to carry out full displays again so soon would be grossly unfair and possibly even dangerous.
 
The mental and physical strain on display pilots is tough enough at the best of times,let alone asking them to resume displays so soon after loosing a team mate.
