Clear skies for most today. A380 currently heading our way, just at Blackpool. It's heading will probably bring it past south-eastern counties, but who knows, that might change!

Go get 'em! 8)

There seemed to be loads of Transatlantic stuff going over us today, but there was patchy cloud over me at BFS today,so it meant aircraft were hard to see.

I didn`t take any photos,as I`m still busy with my RIAT ones.

Yeah AT, there was indeed.

I counted two A-380's - and that has been the case everyday this week, as well as many other traffic, including the usual B-747's, A-330, B-777,. etc!

I also had patchy cloud (at times) which did make it slightly harder to spot the aircraft, but nonetheless, I did manage a few photos which may follow this post.

I hope you had a good time at RIAT and the photos are great!

Nice catch, String!

It amazes me how clean and new aircraft look when they are high in the sky, yet, when you look at them on the ground, they are actually fairly dirty!

Looking through this thread earlier today made me want to try a few contrail shots again, especially with the clear sky we had this evening. Unfortunately only one aircraft flew over during the time, a Fedex 777, which happened to adjust it's course towards me a few minutes before hitting Belfast. Quite happy to have caught this, a first Fedex 777F for me.

Just shows you how bad the weather has been over a few weeks.
only reason i haven't posted any is because i go to a rehab centre for disabled people 3 days a week. The place is called PAVESTONES and it is in coleraine near rugby avenue. So when i get time i try and see what i can catch when i get home or over the weekend.

Thats a lovely pic Dave one of the best I've seen on here. I've numerous contrail photos from the past few months but dont post them here anymore for the detractors to mock.

Post away Slider;there are plenty of folk here that enjoy the contrail shots, otherwise there would not be a section for them.

Thanks slider, as AT says, feel free to post your images, there's no such thing as a bad contrail image and no one will mock them :)

Well, looks like contrail season is almost upon us. Best time of the year for photographing 'em high in the sky. Will try and get a few on over the coming days.

Absolutely we'll not mock them, but I for one won't accept any more venomous, nasty, belligerent, PMs either!
