Unknown duck

I have no idea what type of duck this is it isn't a local duck i have never seen this in the bann before well not in the estuary part anyway. Any idea what kind of duck it is.

It is a female Red-Breasted Merganser.

Thanks for that. I was a rare thing to see. I have walked that river for years and that is the first time i ever saw them.
